A-Z Priducate
How do we design a learning system for children to be more interactive in the learning process on alphabetical letters with their parents?
Priducate is a learning platform designed for preschoolers engaged in interactive alphabet learning with their parents. By making creative associations, to emphasizes word recognition, and teaching children to understand the meaning. The experience allows children to learn the alphabet via visual correlation, and discover related knowledge about the animal ecosystem.
Design Process
Understand the needs
I started the project because my 5 years old brother needs to learn the alphabet. I researched existing publications and platforms on the market, and noticed a few main problems:
Hard to keep children focused for a relatively long period of time.
Lack of interaction between children and parents.
Lack the consistency of information, by providing multiple categories that are hard for children to focus on.

Interviews with target audiences
Interview with children was a task. I spoke with children at my brother’s preschool, with the participant of their parents. These interviews provided me with first-hand insights into the user’s needs. Essentially, it is a learning experience. I gained a better understanding of the learning process and techniques to interact with children. The main points are:
Quick, easy onboarding and understanding of the domain.
as less navigation as possible to avoid loss of focus.
Concept Development
Letter sorting
I started with letter sorting. To group the correlation between one letter to an animal, and match out the capital letter. For example, E matches the elephant. A few key points to keep in mind with searching for animals:
needs to be distinguished enough.
needs to be common enough.
